Refund and Return Policies

Our refund and returns policy covers many products and the policy for each type of product varies, so it is important to understand which product you are purchasing.  Product or vehicle sales outside those specifically outlined below are considered a final sale.  If you have any questions, please ask us before making a purchase.

  • Vehicles offered with a 7-day money-back guarantee

    • Overview

      We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you are not, our 7-day money-back guarantee ensures that you can return the vehicle within 7 calendar days from the date of sale for a full refund, less mileage at $0.20/mile if more than 700 miles are driven during the 7-day money-back period.

      Terms and Conditions

      1. Eligibility: This guarantee applies to most motorized vehicles purchased from and owned by our dealership.  New vehicles, As-Is, RV’s, Powersport and Consignment vehicles of all sorts are excluded.

      2. Timeframe/Mileage: The 7-day period begins on the date of sale and ends exactly 7 calendar days later. It is not limited to business days.  The limit of travel is 100 miles per day.  After 100 miles, a deduction of $0.20/mile is applied to the initial return value

      3. Refund Process:

        • To initiate a return, please contact us within the 7-day period.
        • The vehicle must be in the same condition as when sold.
        • You will receive a full refund for the sale price (including any taxes and fees, less any mileage overages) at the time of the return.
        • Traded vehicles may be sold before the 7-day period and, if sold, would not be available for return.  
      4. Exclusions:

        • The following items are not eligible for the money-back guarantee:
          • RV’s including fish houses.
          • Powersport vehicles.
          • As-Is vehicles.
        • Any vehicle normally included that has been altered, damaged, or modified after purchase.
      5. Return Shipping:

        • You are responsible to return the vehicle to our dealership.
      6. Additional Notes:

        • Refunds will be issued to the lender or to the original payment method.
  • Automotive and RV Parts, Sporting Goods and General Merchandise

    • Overview

      We offer a return period of 30 days for any NEW, STOCK, Automotive and RV parts as well as other general merchandise.  This policy excludes items ordered in at your request, bulk fluids and clearance / open box / damaged, as is goods.

      Terms and Conditions

      1. Eligibility: Items must be in new condition with all packaging.  Lithium battery-powered items which have been opened, charged, or attempted to have been charged must be handled through the manufacturer’s warranty channels.  

      2. Timeframe/Mileage: The 30-day period begins on the date of sale and ends exactly 30 calendar days later. It is not limited to business days.

      3. Refund Process:

        • To initiate a return, please contact us within the 30-day period.
        • The product must be in the same condition as when sold.
        • You will receive a full refund for the sale price, including any taxes, at the time of the return.
        • Shipping costs are unfortunately not refundable.  We do not pay for return shipping of products.  
      4. Exclusions:

        • The following items are not eligible for return:
          • Specially ordered products.
          • Bulk fluids.
          • Ice fishing electronics.
          • Lithium batteries which have had packaging opened or which have been charged / attempted charge cycles.
          • As-Is / open box / damaged / clearance items.
          • Any product which has been altered, damaged, or modified after purchase.
      5. Return Shipping:

        • You are responsible to return the product.  You are strongly advised to obtain shipping insurance and tracking numbers to ensure you are covered in the event of a lost package.
      6. Additional Notes:

        • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.

In all cases, If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.  If we are unable to sell it as a new item, contact us before returning, as we will not provide a refund for items we cannot resell as new.  If the product has a defect, the manufacturer of that product has a warranty to correct the issue.  We are happy to assist with manufacturer warranty claims.  If you are having difficulty, we can help you navigate the warranty process or have a representative of that company reach you directly to get things sorted.  

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods, sanitary goods (e.g. toilets), hazardous materials (e.g. lithium), or flammable liquids or gases (e.g. propane tanks and refill kits).

Additional non-returnable items:

  • Gift cards
  • Downloadable software products or map chips.

To complete your return, we require a receipt or proof of purchase.

Please do not send your purchase back to the manufacturer unless you have a warranty claim with them and you are instructed to do so.  

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • Any item not in its original condition, is damaged or missing parts for reasons not due to our error.
  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment.  We promptly process the refunds on our end of the transaction.  The time to receive that credit to your card will depend on the banks involved in that process.

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Only regular and sale priced items may be refunded. Clearance items are not eligible for refund.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at info@drivenorthland.com.

Gifts

We only refund the original method of payment, so in the case of gifts, we will send a refund to the original purchaser (usually the gift giver) only.  We make no exceptions to this policy, as the fraud potential is too great.

Shipping returns

To return your product, you should mail your product to: RETURNS, 16138 US HWY 169, MILACA, MN 56353.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of original shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product or credit to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
